A frozen and nearly dead cat was discovered buried in the snow outside her owners’ home in Montana. Fluffy was essentially frozen and unresponsive. There were freezing temperatures of -1°C (30°F) to -8°C (17°F) in this landlocked state in the Northwestern United States. This poor cat is struggling to survive in these conditions, which is heartbreaking to think about.
She was taken to an animal clinic as soon as the homeowner found her. After looking at her and listening to her, the staff realized she was still alive after initially believing she had passed away. The veterinarians, of course, did not give up on her.
The Animal Clinic of Kalispell executive director Andrea Dutter told Bored Panda that they thought it could be any other distressed patient when they first saw Fluffy. “Let’s get this sweet baby girl thawed out!” “All hands on deck!’ When you’re in a moment like this, you must take it one minute at a time.”
Fluffy slowly began to recover after a long stay in the emergency room. He has proven that she has a will to survive by staying alive. Luckily, Fluffy is now back at home with her humans and recuperates indoors while her humans take care of her. Her miraculous recovery may make her rethink the benefits of living indoors even though she was used to an outdoor lifestyle.
Hopefully, Fluffy’s story will educate other pet owners about how to keep their indoor and outdoor pets safe and how important it is to seek medical attention right away instead of trying to treat them on their own. We did nothing different than any other veterinarian and staff. Fluffy’s owners deserve our gratitude for acting quickly during a scary time.
